least 5% of the jewellery. 

Then it is called goldfilled and is a very thick 
layer of gold which is extremely durable.

The gold does not have to be real gold, but can be with, 
for example, 10k, 14k, 18k, 21k or 24k thick coating. Plain gold, white gold or red gold.
